Georgia State University selects StatMonitr for 2014-15
ATLANTA, GA. -- Georgia State University will use StatBroadcast's StatMonitr media stats systems for its home athletic events in 2014-15, StatBroadcast announced today.
Georgia State University is a public university located in downtown Atlanta and has an enrollment of more than 32,000. One of four members of the University System of Georgia, it was founded in 1913. The Georgia State Panthers sponsor 16 sports at the NCAA Division-I FBS level as members of the Sun Belt Conference. GSU began its football program in 2010 and spent 2013 transitioning to the FBS level; this season will be their first as eligible for a berth in a bowl. The Georgia State Men's basketball team won the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Regular Season championship and earned a berth in the Postseason NIT Tournament.
Georgia State is the third member of the Sun Belt to partner with StatBroadcast and the third from the state of Georgia.
